What is Catimor?
Catimor coffee beans are a hybrid of Timor and Caturra beans, originating in Portugal in 1959. Timor beans, derived from robusta, offer resistance to leaf rust and pests, allowing Catimor to grow at lower altitudes.
How does Catimor taste?
Combining robusta's resilience with arabica's flavor and aroma, Yunnan’s Catimor beans thrive in the region’s high altitudes and unique landscape. These beans are exceptionally sweet, with a full, creamy body, and a citric acidity. The aroma includes notes of black tea, spices, chocolate, dried cherries, and nuttiness, resembling flavors from Colombian, Central American, and Indonesian beans.

Although new to the coffee scene, Yunnan's Catimor beans are exquisite and unique, poised to capture the attention of coffee enthusiasts worldwide. Specialty coffee lovers and casual drinkers alike should explore these distinct Chinese beans.
